5F here today with wind gusting to 50 mph, but I can see my boat (well, the pile of snow that surrounds it anyway) from my kitchen window. In the immortal words of Jimmy Buffet, "I gotta go where it's warm". :D

Yup...chilly there too!

In a few weeks, the Admiral and I will be boarding a cruise ship in Ft Lauderdale and will be cruising the Caribbean for 20 days. That should give us enough of a "water and boating fix" to keep us going until mid-May:)

BANDS OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL EFFECT THE AREA TONIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY. THE BANDS WILL TEND TO SHIFT SOUTH TONIGHT... WITH THE
HEAVIEST SNOW MAINLY SOUTH OF THE THRUWAY AND WEST OF UTICA LATER
TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL AVERAGE 4 TO 8 INCHES
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF ONEIDA COUNTY THROUGH FRIDAY. GUSTY
WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW... AND AREAS OF POOR
VISIBILITY.

THE GUSTY WINDS WILL ALSO COMBINE WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING TO
THE SINGLE DIGITS TO PRODUCE WIND CHILLS AS LOW AS 15 BELOW ZERO
LATE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING. .:hammer . :hammer
