As a diversion to the chill of winter I would like to share the following with my fellow BOC'ers to remind you of better times past and to come.

If there is one place I love boating; it is along the Erie Canal system. This post is dedicated to Ronlord, Rick, Kenyon, Wayne's World and all the other BOC members who have travelled on these waters.

Safe and Happy Boating!

As Bill says, if you haven't been on it, you need to make plans to do it. It's a great place to travel, overnight, and just relax. One thing I do miss about being down here in the South now is that upstate NY has some of the best boating water anywhere, and great access to anywhere in the world. The Erie Canal can get you to Lakes Erie or Ontario, or to the Hudson River and you can go anywhere from there. I do miss it but I don't miss the snow.

Lived in Buffalo from 0-28 years old. Grew up on the Niagara River. I remember one trip to Toronto on my parents 2550.

The snow wasn't bad until I stopped snow skiing.
