The overhauled Bayliner.com went live today.

It looks like it still needs a little work as the photo galleries are empty and the options don't have pricing. Although it may be that they won't post the options pricing this year. In any event, the new web site looks so much better than the old web site.

We can finally see the 2010 pricing. It looks like they held the line on pricing. The 335 (previously know as the 320) MSRP went down $38. Don't know which way options pricing went though.

And a new rebate program for '08, '09 & '10 models 185, 195 & 255 is in effect through March.

The old 2009 Bayliner.com is archived here: http://wherefunlives.com/ I don't see an "older models" section on the new web site, so you have to go to the 2009 web site to get older model info. At least for now.

Wow... found a mistake right at the get-go... check it...

When you select Cruisers from the overhead menu, and click on the 335, it shows a thumbnail of the now discontinued 325/340...! Now, when you click into the information on the model, its the 320/335 and correct, but... wow... the web designer needs to get familiar with the models.

Do I understand this correctly. The 340 has been discontinued. The 335 is last years 320 and the previous years 3055?

yep..the 340 is not being built...so the largest sunbridge from bayliner is the 320....or the newly named 335 which is a 31 ft boat...

so ..for those of us that have the 340..enjoy..we're a rare breed now!

There were 27 models in the 2009 lineup.

There are only 18 models in the 2010 lineup.

I hope they continue to tweak the web site. It looks good but it isn't finished yet. I created a profile but it doesn't do anything. I thought they might have created a forum or something. Maybe it is in the pipeline.

I like that they have gotten on Facebook and Youtube. It will be interesting to see if they keep up with that stuff.

Thanks for posting the new site and the link to the old site. I bookmarked both, as there is a lot of good information on the old site when researching used boats.
In comparing the 'new' 2010 285 to my 'old' 1999 2855, I just don't see a lot of differences. There are updated mechanicals, new fabrics, etc., but the overall layout is the same.

Guess it's like the 325 becoming the 340. Well, it's exactly like that.

Where do you get 31' though?

LOA's listed at 32'6"...

Rigged is... well... it really doesn't matter what rigged is. However, it's 33'6", which is probably where the settled on the 335. I have a 2008. Mine's still a 320 as it should be. Besides, changing the designation would cost me $75.00 more at the marina.

It is a shame, what bayliner has become.
All of the cruisers, except for one, are small sunbridges. The classic lines are nearly gone now.

I agree, but I think Bayliner has become what the buyers (or lack of) want.

I see the 2009 Bayliner.com website has been taken down now. And no archived models added to the new web site.

I must say that I am a bit disapointed in the lack of progress on the new Bayliner.com web site. Still riddled with mistakes and lacking in content. Hard to beleive they can't at least scrounge up some decent photos.

The Bayliner webmaster should take a look at prestige-yachts and Meridian 341 for some ideas. Nothing like great pictures to wet the appetite of a potential buyer.

I just checked the site from my home PC, which is the only computer I know of that will load the site in it's entirey.

It looks like it was designed by a high school graphics design class. When you design a site, it's your responsibility to test it on multiple browsers and to make sure a large majority of your customers can access the site quickly. It's slow, jumbled and missing graphics when viewed on a smaller browser (not maximized) and in general looks amateurish. Did they even bother to test it before flipping it to production?

But the biggest insult? The prices!!! In July of 2000, I paid $14,500 for a totally loaded 4.3L 1850 Capri. Now, 9 years later, the same boat STARTS at nearly $22,000.

Bayliner, do you really expect the average American to be able to afford these prices?

Just been to Boat 'Dusseldorf' (Germany), as the biggest show in Europe... must say im very disappointing, in general and bout Bayliner.

The biggest Bayliner was the 315. Not really my taste i must say, disappointed, but the price was good. (Show offer of 99K euro, thats good for Europe prices believe me, normally round 130K)

i really hate the 340 to be discontinued, that was my next boat, i thought. Maybe the 335, as its the replacement in my opinion. I still need the forward cabin 'lounge' as i have now, so no bed there.

Sorry for you guys to say, but im more and more getting into the Bavaria brand now, German, very nice, especially the new models, and good priced here. I really love the new sport 38, thats real big 38 boat, for 166k Euro starting price, in comarison to Bayliner and sure to Sea Ray (350 bout 250K!!)
just to get the idea:
http://www.bavaria-yachtbau.com/index.php?id=632

Think im losing the Bayliner.... sorry, just dont like where theyr going now. But still very happy with mine, so who knows.

just my opinion...

regards,
Bert

A weekly TV show that we get here ("Power Boat TV") on Feb 06 will be reviewing a 2010 335, and a used 38MY. Perhap I might be able to video it with my camera, upload it to youtube, and post the link here.

i sure would like that, if possible. Would like to see/hear more bout it. Just a far drive for me to go to the dealers. The 335 is just not doing it to me 'yet', so who knows.

yes.. the site is very bad now. NOt really good quality pics, and hard to navigate i think. (and was slow for me, but thart could be my connection)

I hope Bayliner can pick things up again, and go forward. Sometimes i think it more concentrating on the 'smaller' daytime boats? Bigger sale possibilities, or am i wrong there?

Bert
