Might be a novice question (and I am one), but how do you attach the reel straps to a rod? I have the attachments on my boat but the reels don't have anything to attach to.

I am talking about an eye that the strap can attach to on the rod.

I think I am going to answer my own question. You use a rod guide eye with a nylon wrapper and epoxy wrap finish to have an extra eye to hook the strap to. :)
