I can't complain... I fished starting early this AM. No bites, no shakers, nuthin... Called the wife and had her meet me at the ramp in Manchester across from Seattle. Took her to lunch at Belltown Pizza in Seattle. Dropped her back to fetch the car and I went fishing for a while longer. I tried everything I had... nothing... first time I have gotten skunked in a long long time. Saw a lot of bait down there. Look at the time between photos of the bait balls in the area I was in... That was typical too. Fish everywhere but not hungry for anything I had... Spoke to the fisheries lady at the ramp when I got back and NO one caught anything with the exception a lot of fish are being caught off Edmonds... I suppose we will have to wait for a good rain to see them head our way.. still early... anyway. some photos:

Sometimes it is just nice to be out though isn't it.
But we went out Saturday, it was my Birthday, we stayed overnight Friday at Kingston and then hit Point no Point in the afternoon. got about 5 salmon but all way too small. frustrating, thought i'd get some birthday luck. but had fun none the less.

had even more fun on the way home as we caught the wake off one of those massive container ships at full speed. at least 8 ft roller and about 5 or 6 of them. shocked the folks making a cup of tea down in the galley :-)

Salmon finally came in to the release point at the culvert here in Seward, Deb and I caught 29 salmon over a few days snagging.
12 of those in 2 hours.

Getting ready to head back to Florida with a freezer full of fish.

We fished all weekend and ended up with one barely legal sized striped bass. However, getting away from the city is what being on the boat is all about. We have enough bass in the freezer to feed a village, so no sweat here. Just enjoyed the fishing and being away.
