Bayliner did not see fit to place any insulation around the 1985 2160 Trophy's fish well. Although I have rigged it with a circulating pump, what I really want is for the thing to hold ice during a hot summer day of fluke fishing.

As I can access it via the engine compartment, I've had a couple thoughts on this:

1) Wrap it with with a couple layers of reflective bubble wrap insulation.
16 in. x 100 ft. Double Reflective Insulation

2) Cut to fit and glue foam insulation sheet to the outside (or possibly the inside)

Has anyone attempted this type of modification and what was the result?

I tried insulating my 2002 Trophy fish wells with closed cell foam boards from Home Depot but the fish wells had too many crazy angles. I finally purchased 2 fish bags that fit perfectly in the wells. Ice kept for 2 days in 70-80 degree weather. Here's a link to the product:
