I have I believe Kufa brand shrimp pots.
They are the stainless frame round pots with netting. Very light weight.
What are some options to weigh it down?
I bought 60lbs of lead and was thinking of 20 pounds each. I lost 2 last year with only 12 pounds and leaving them out too long in strong currents.
I was thinking of melting the lead into 10lb triangles and zip tieing two to each pot, one on each side where the harness attaches.
And I was also going to run a section of nylon rope between lead line and pot because I read somewhere shrimps are finicky and get scared away from leaded line banging pots.

This is my setup.
I fish 700-800 deep, I have 2 5 pound lead bars in each, I fish 2 pots on 1 string and 3 on the other. I made the bars and the hi-flyers all by my self. I have never lost a pot in the currents of Prince William Sound. the lower 300 feet of line is regular floating nylon, the upper 600 feet is weighted line keeping it safe from passing boat props
