To be officially announced in March but here is the proposed plan:

The sport quota for Puget Sound and Strait of Juan de Fuca east of Sekiu is 57,393 pounds which is identical to last season.

The proposed season in the eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca near Port Angeles, San Juan Islands and northern and central Puget sound (Areas 6 to 10) will open May 9-10, May 17, May 22-25, May 29-31 and June 7.

The western Strait of Juan de Fuca off Sekiu will be open for halibut fishing on May 22-25, May 29-31 and June 7.

Hood canal and south central Puget sound (areas 11-12 & 13) will be closed to protect rockfish populations.

The season off Neah Bay and La Push opens May 15 with fishing allowed Thursday and Saturday through May 17. Catches is will then be assessed to see if additional openings are possible.

Westport opens May 4 with fishing allowed Sundays and Tuesdays only through May 20. The near shore fishery will be open daily beginning May 5 until the 2,000 pound quota is reached. The off shore quota is 42,739 pounds.

Ilwaco opens May 1 with fishing allowed Thursdays to Sundays and will remain open during spring and summer unless 80 percent of quota is reached before mid-July. There will also be a near shore fishery beginning May 5 and is open Mondays to Wednesdays. Ilwaco quota is 9,516 for early season and 2,379 for late season.

The limit is one halibut per day with no minimum size limit.

So nice of them to give us a day in June.
So random the days. Why not just weekends in May and June?
Do they have some sophisticated algorithm they use?

Algorithm: Old Coots complain, they are free on Fridays while everyone else is working, they also like to sleep it off on Sundays.

Off of CA and WA the fishing limits were so liberal that it finally caught up with the poor management of salt water fish.
I can remember watching TV and fishermen were using many hooks on a sprot fishing line, the commercial fishing was not managed very well, they just tried to keep up with the demand.
Now it is pay back time!
