Tractor launch and retrieve at Ninilchik Alaska, One of the 6 pack boats

Wouldn't do it with a fiberglass boat though... LOL

I did that ride several years ago. I always wondered how long the tractors lasted or if they sold them every season. A good reason not to buy a used tractor in Alaska

He comes in a tad fast don't ya think? I know he has probably done it 200 times but still. Isn't it easier on the merchandise to drop off plane and just power it up onto the bunks? Or is this maybe just a last little thrill   for the passengers.

It does look fast... but if you listen closely it sounds like he actually gives it a bit more throttle once he is on the trailer to get it to push right up to the winch tower. Expertly done... it seems to just land nicely, not too hard of a hit as it seats in.

Usually the tractor starts backing out of the water before the boat is even on the trailer.

Also, if he's timing it right, he's pushing water ahead of him that'll coast him right on. Looks like they've done it a few times before. :)
