Ran from Cowichan Bay to Deep Cove where we put 400 prawns in the boat It was a great day to be on the water and the sun was shining bright. Tried for lunch in Sidney but didn't want to risk seeing one of the BC ferries coming out of the fog while we were crossing by their terminal. With no wind it seemed like it wasn't going to dissipate soon so we went to the new marina and restaurant at Mill Bay. They did a nice job rebuilding after the storm took them out. :)

Sweet! I haven't been prawning in a while. I guess you had lunch while the traps were soaking. I guess Mill Bay has a place to tie up for lunch? How long & how deep did you set your traps?

Mill bays new Marina is now a easy dock for lunch. Stay to the port side and tie up before the gas pumps. We left the traps at 260' for about three hours between bobbing around waiting for the fog to lift so we could get to Sidney which didn't happen and then lunch at the Marina's restaurant. It's a tad pricey but very nice.....Need to go back. Our prawns are gone already. :)
