Not so much fishing talked about lately so I thought I would post a few pics of our opening day for deer. Here is one I spotted but decided not to take and my partner stated he would gladly shoot him and that was that. He was very happy! I did manage to get a shot at another bigger one but missed. It will only get better as they get deeper into the rut and I've still got three more small trips planned. Hopefully I'll see that monster I'm looking for.

We saw more moose (32) on this trip than we did on our 8 day moose hunt. There are fewer draws in this area for them

Nice, I've never hunted up there in that country, just down south. Buddy of mine hunts whitetail up in that neck of the woods and sees some slobs every year. One day I should make a drive I guess. Be nice to get a moose draw more than once every 16 years.....

So I waited right until last daylight to try and get my big mulley buck. I even passed up bigger than the one below. Snow started building up making it harder to get into some of their haunting grounds and I figured if I was going to get a buck at all I better take this little 4x4. It was good hunting this year as we also got a couple of does. We did not see to many whitey's and thats unusual for that area because years before we almost always spotted and or missed getting a book deer. Anyhow this is how this season ended on the last day.
