This was the last fish I caught on my 2001 Proline 22 WA. three days later a drunk hit my boat and totaled it.

Please don't drive drunk.

I like the fish, I think there is another large one under those. But I don't like the knives in my back!

I'll have to get a pic of me holding up air, because I haven't caught squat on the salt since I built the maxum. That old rotten Capri caught fish like no ones business the year before:confused:

Myself, brother, father, and a friend of ours cought a 800lb + Bluefin Tuna off the stern of a Bayliner 3888 a few years ago. I don't know if I have a pic but I will look for one. We were surprised how good the boat worked out for fishing as we usually fish from a 47 Viking Convertible. Even with the much smaller cockpit the Bayliner worked out great. We didn't install a fighting chair due to the limited space but we have 2 Lee's large rod holders mounted on the gunwales and fought the fish from one of those for over 2.5 hours! My only complaint was that it was hard to see the rod from the helm on the flybridge. I had to watch the rod tip and line to see what the fish was doing to manoeuver the boat and keep up with the running fish. The twin Hinos were great for chasing down the fish.......but my hands were a bit busier on the throttles than what I am used to in the Viking. Still was happy with it though!
I'll see if I can track down a picture.

49lb spring - Cliffe Point, Northern Vancouver Island,

A fine tote of Spring (Chinook) and Sockeye - not bad for 2 hours total fishing dock-out to dock-in, Port Hardy

And great day with a bunch of Manitoba stubble jumpers during the huge Sockeye run in 2010, complete with a limit of 'chickens', Port Hardy

Please take a look at the link below for some boating and fishing photos. Many are of large fish but not all. In particular, for this thread, see the very last photo of my Mom on her 85th birthday...and before you ask, yes, she did have help with the fish...from her 7 year-old great grandson. Not bad for 85 - those mid western farm women are tough.

sites.google.com/site/lhboatinfo/boating-fishing-photos

I rarely keep large halibut these days and would encourage everyone else to do the same -- they're all female and giant egg factories and so are very important to the health of the resource -- but it's really hard to pesuade a kid to turn loose a fish that's larger than she is.

Cheers
Lynn

I believe this picture proves me to be the winner.

We caught this 25,000 tonne "Angela-fish" while it was holding on the edge of a 60' bank. The battle was long and hard, caught in the middle of fog, and only on 30lb test, but eventually we won out. You can even see in the picture where the fish was hooked. All on barbless!
