I was getting tired of removing the whole plywood section over the water tank in the aft cabin. I actually installed a flexible 200litre bladder a few years back after the aluminum tank leaked so there is no way
to check water level, other than guess.
I cut 7" off the end and screwed in a piece of strapping to support where I made the cut. Now I just can slide this out when check the water level, running wiring if needed and disconnecting the water pick up in the winter without having to remove the whole plywood section.
