So like the title says, I wanted a place to mount my wakeboard since it doesn't fit in the ski locker. We are only newbie wakeboarders (and boaters) and don't want a tower (yet). I saw some other installs without a tower and most were very complex or expensive or took away a cleat. So I built my own. I started with an $85 China-made rack from Ebay. Looks decent and I like the blue anodize that matches the boat. I then removed the starboard aft cleat and took some measurements. My boat, 2006 185BR has sport seating but I think this would work on regular seating. I made a cardboard template and then made a mounting adapter out of 16 gauge 304 SS (.063"). I cut most of it with an abrasive cutoff wheel. The piece was 4" wide and 11.5" long. I then just drilled the holes and bent it using a press that I turned into a press brake. Cleaned it all up and installed it. I originally was going to do a no-extra-hole install, but then decided that I would need too thick of metal, so I added two 1/4" holes with SS backing plates hidden next to the walk through pad. The thing is very sturdy and I can still use my cleat. I leaned them in so I would not have any dock issues. And the bimini top goes on as well, even with the board on. Sot there you are. Total cost was less than $100 and it took me about 6 hours total, including the design time.

I used some heavy duty weather stripping for some padding against the gelcoat
