Bought a new suzuki 2.5hp 4 stroke and thought I'll make it a proper stand. The old Yamaha usually sits on the retaining wall and is exposed to the elements although it has a cover.

Cost $20 in material. Mortice joints are a pain without proper tools! Chisel and hammer took up most of my time but heck I enjoyed doing it

Now the Suzy can stay inside the shed, dry and warm B)

Looks good what I did was brought a hand trolley from supercheap attached a headboard across the top to attach the outboard to so this setup allows me to move it around without straining the old back especially when I have to tidy up the workshop

Cheers Murray

Good idea Murray. yeah my back is not happy too hence the lighter suzy 2.5hp instead of 4hp! I will install a couple of castor wheels to shift it about :)

Hey Murray how's your boat coming along? We must meet up for a cup of coffee and a yarn soon.

You have to use a photo editing program to rotate the photo if you don't hold your phone right. I flipped it for you Jim

Thanks Jim. I did flip it with software but it kept getting landscape instead of portrait. :(
