I don't know how many of you have needed to replace those horrid cushioned dado rails in your cabins but after a bit of experimentation, I managed to come up with what I think is an excellent product. Some simple, wood effect PVC skirting board really looks the part, certainly i'm delighted with the result. There are wee fixing plates that normally screw to the wall to hold these in place. In my boat I had the sharp end of the rubrail screws protruding so I screwed the holding plates on to these then simply clipped the boards in place. Might save you a bit of time if you have to do something similar. The whole thing cost about £30 and a couple of hours to do.
