Hi everyone this is my first boat and first project doing it myself. I actually need help and what thing to do is post a topic here for everyone. I have pics of the start removing process. I have removed the carpet and the seats that were fiberglassed and the foam that was water filled. Today I have cut the floor out in certain areas. And removed the water soaked foam under it.

Here's where I need help, I don't know how far to cut to get the whole floor out and also what do I use for foam after I replace the floor. I actually need all the help I can. I don't wanna cut where I can mess up my boat. I'm trying to get the boat ready for this season. Anyways since I been doing this, I noticed the floor had a patch job on one corner, but the rest was rotted. I don't know how far to go on the sides and for the back and how far foward I go for cutting. If anyone can give me an idea on what to do please please help me!!!

I looked into that. My stingers are in good shape and so is the transform. I'm just looking into just doing the floor in the stern of the boat. I seen guys just replacing the floor without taking the consoles out. So if anymore can show me where to cut and where on the sides of the floor do I cut to remove and prep for the new floor replacement?

It's a 15ft and no cuddy

The floor is put in with fiberglass holding it in around the edges, when I did mine I ground off the edges with a grinder, then beveled the floor to fit at tight as possible to the edge of the hull and then glassed them back in. Looking at your pictures you are almost there, just need to get in there and clean it up a bit more before replacing the floor structure. if your stringers are bad you'll wan to do new ones as well.

I used an old tree pruning blade and sawzall to remove the fiberglass that held the floor to the hull. You can flex that type of blade easily and push it flush against the hull and trim the fiberglass right off. Keep in mind, after installing the pre-resined flooring, I then reglassed that area with epoxy resin after filling any gaps with resin and glass bubble paste.
