The tilt ram isn't SEI. Has to be the original Mercruiser as SEI doesn't sell them. That thing really looks neglected A LOT! Also looks like there are no anodes left on the rams.....

The SEI drives I know are just fine like the original alphas. Or is this one from the first year they started their business? There they had some real issues but more internally.
Eaten apart like that any drive would be beyond repair.......

I have not seen this. Nice project Joon, the transom solid? I'm sure that's the first thing you checked :silly:
You now have the drives off? What do you use for paint on the hull? The black will definitely give it a great look, can't wit to see it.
The interior looks great!
Adding to my favorites ;)

She is solid,
Drives off, I'll be rebuilding transom assemblies...got some work ahead of me.
Replacing that gimbal ring or the whole thing is gonna be a chore. As you can see in the pic, square shaft has been changed / modified...notice 2-1" plugs B)
I'll be spraying her with PPG urethane plus clear.

I thought about going over the teal strip on mine also. Good to know the PPG will work for that, sprayed lots of that in the past on car projects I did.
Keep us posted, love to see the pics of the project. B)
