OK, hopefully this is the last "install" I need to do this boating season.... at least Mr. visa thinks so... Quality is as good as I expected. Shiny too. Just hope it holds... This replaces the 7.5kg with a 10kg anchor.... Will have to test it this weekend... Now back to polishing the boat...

You can have it... just have to figure out when we will be at the same dock. I have a danforth as a back up now and another one in the garage from old Go Aweigh.

I was kidding Doug! But, honestly, if you don't want it I would love to come to an agreement on it. Email me and we'll talk price or trade or ???

Thanks,
Pete

Love SS anchors....remember it's not only the anchor that hooks you up...it's lenth of chain, and scope that hooks you up! I'm a firm believer in chain as long as your vessel and plenty of scope

Very 'bling' Doug. If you 'hope' it holds...then have a look at;

http://www.anchorright.com.au/products/productCategoryAnchor.php

and they come in 'bling' s/s. IT will hold.

Best anchor I have ever used.

Cheers Pete

Good Luck. They haven't had one of those "In Stock" yet.

(at least not while the sales are running)

Been watching them for 3 months now.

It was going to be in stock in April then they made it June... That's when I ordered through ebay with these guys: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170040424568&rd=1

Cost a few buck more but I know I have a 316 stainless... Not sure on the other website (marinepartdepot.com)... I thought when I last spoke to them, they mentioned their anchors were 304 stainless?

A quick touch with a good magnet will tell you the first bit of bad news... the next will come when you scratch it up and the rust stains start to show. Time will tell.

I opted for a name brand 316 certified anchor. Won't be any fun looking at that "bling" developing rust stains in the scratches at the dock. :)

I received all my canvas parts I ordered from them. It was delayed in shipped so when I called he said the container was a week late. He send some extras.
I was happy. He also said their anchors should be coming in more regularly but we'll see. I may call again. The Bruce style looks new on the site.

Also, prior to now the "ORDER" button wasn't available when not in stock. Now I think they're taking orders and filling them when the order arrives.

Yeah... they're charging you now... but the free shipping deal ends before then. I've been watching these guys for 3 months and they've NEVER showed the 22lb Bruce in stock. I'd sooner have the anchor from someplace I can walk back in and hand it back if it rusts. :) Mine are coming from Boater's World. If I don't like 'em I walk back in and hand them to Eric. :D

I know what virgin 316 costs... I can't see a 22 piece of "precision cast" 316 Stainless Steel + free shipping... sell for $199.

Sorry... call me a skeptic, but I wouldn't buy a stainless steel anchor from Harbor Freight... and I won't buy one out of Mexico from these guys either. :)

(you melt down enough bumpers you'll get something that'll polish up just like stainless... but it's still a bumper from a 1982 Oldsmobile)
