Do not know where to post this, figure the mods will move it. On my laptop I have to log in every time I go to my bookmarked Motoryacht site. If I leave the site for even a minute or two I have to log in again? I do not have to log in each time if I use either my cell phone or tablet. Maybe the laptop just feels neglected now that I have a new cell phone big enough to do almost everything. Have not used the tablet much either.

I never need to log in, even when I clear my cash.

Wish I could help...but I can't.

Just wanted to say that I have been having the same problem (on my computer) ever since the site changed over to the new host.

I have to log in every time I visit the site if I want to post...or at least be able to see the "new posts" icon. The site wont "remember me" if I close and re-open it. I deleted my cookies and history when the site changed so I don't think that is the problem.

It's starting to be a real PITA.

Question should be ask here. www.baylinerownersclub.org/index.php/forum/club-website
Of course you won't see the answer if they move it and you only look at the Motoryacht section.

The issues with remembering passwords is always related to how you have your particular browser configured. Some browsers have issues when you upgrade them. In your case please look at the information below.

support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968648

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
•Create a cookie Allow exception to keep such cookies, especially for secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
•Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
•do not clear the Cookies
•do not clear the Site Preferences
•Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
•https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Clear+Recent+History

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception.

Wow, I see it has been "fixed"! Now my laptop, cell and tablet all require log in every single time I open the forum site. I have not changed a single thing on any of these devices. Never ever had this issue on the old BOC site, so something is unique to this site. I frequent about 25 different sites that require a log on, all keep the site active with no new log on required except banks and medical sites of course. On some, after a period of time usually longer than two weeks, the pass word times out and I have to re-enter it. This is the single $#%& site that requires a log in every single time. Several sites I have been a member for many many years and never had to re-enter a password until a device was replaced.

Only seem to be able to get in using IE. Trouble is IE doesn't protect your PC from intrusion. I use Pale Moon loaded with virus protection.

I am having the same problem.Every time I come to the site I have to re-enter my username and Password. While here as I move around the forum, it will just log me out.

I don't envy the guys working on a new site. A lot of work to get everything running just right and it is never simple.

Working on it guys ! Lets not mix apples and oranges though. I you have trouble logging in to the site period you have another issue not related to the remember me issue please contact Doug to resolve that issue.

As for the old site never did that whine, move on, its gone, it is what it is :pinch: . This site was auto upgraded a few days ago and some issues need to be worked out between the software and the host server. We are working on it as fast as we can in a measure that is commensurate with the compensation received.

There is definitely something new. I can log in fine from my iPad (Safari) but on my laptop (Firefox, Explorer, Chrome) logging in is not possible.

It was 'forgetting' after each session, but now it doesn't allow login.

Different networks. iPad is stand alone through Verizon. Browsers on laptop don't accept from home or Verizon MyFi connection. iPad works fine, laptop does not. Different laptop in same home network works. iPad on home network AND MyFi still works.

Something on the server side is not accepting the session. It almost acts like it thinks it knows you, but doesn't establish the connection. Clearing cookies has no effect. It almost looks like a server-side cookie tracking is corrupted.

Mabe the server or our site has a bug.

As Dave has mentioned, seems to be an issue with the new software upgrade. Even the back side is having trouble and I can't do any searches for user names unless I walk thru 21,000+ members one page of 20 at a time... :woohoo:

If you or you know someone has difficulties, email me if you can get to the forum at all... I have gotten several members back on line this PM already...

We'll get er done... just be patient but be sure to email me or at least add my email to your contact list so if you can't get online, you can contact me...
