This is the only thread that will be open for concerns and problems members are experiencing on the latest upgrade.

I would encourage those that have concerns to read the FAQ first before asking about differences. The FAQ should update with the new upgrade. http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/forum/faq.php

The section just below the BOC logo has been changed slightly. This was a software change and allows one to see "Activity Streams" and "New Group Messages" as well as other changes. Those will be located in the "New Posts" area in the dark bar below "Forum". We can not change the location of those tabs.

Another upgrade will be the ability for RSS feeds and Podcasts. Again, read all about that in the FAQ section.

Forum runner will be active after the upgrade. I would encourage those with IPhone and Android devices to download the app in your stores. The app is free for installing to be able to access the BOC site but it costs $1.99 to be able to post on BOC. That is not a function we have control over and no money comes to BOC from that feature. (I believe those that use Tap a Talk are charged $2.99 for that app).

If Forum runner does not work well, we will look at another third party app so those with Iphones or Android devices can experience BOC full featured.

Doug just one small correction. This version has a built in mobile capability. Members at this time do not need to download any software. They can read and post with the built in capability. If the built in capability is not what members want then I can turn on ForumRunner.

After you click on what's new, click on new posts instead of activity stream and you will get the old look for new posts.

Got it. I bought Forum Runner. not sure how it works though, it doesn't have BOC listed in boats, but strange enough it does have the hull truth.
In my Android Chrome browser at the bottom it gives the option to go to FULL SITE.

I still don't see the BOC emblem, not even on my laptop, just the vBulletin one.

Faster

The BOC logo has to be inserted in the VBulletin and also requires a smaller version for mobile apps. It will happen over the course of the update.
I asked Ryan (biohazard) to work on the logo like he did last upgrade...

As Dave states, you don't or should not require forum runner to work off the mobile... its built in the website...

I notice there is no longer a way to flag an inappropriate post such as the spam in this one. http://www.baylinerownersclub.org/forum/showthread.php?76823-2001-2859-A-C-and-4-5-kw-genset-fwc-reman-engine-2007-24-500

When I go to the FAQ on my iPhone, I get :

"We're sorry, the content is not supported via the mobile style. Click here to go to Forum Homepage" And you end up going in circles.

I eventually noticed the link 'Full site" that takes to a non-Mobile view.

Some suggestions:

Changing "Full Site" to something like "Non-Mobile Site" (Full view, .......??)
"Full Site" is not intuitive to me (what, don't I get the full site in the mobile view :^) )

And/Or instead of directing me to the mobile home page, take me to the non-mobile one (Whatever you end up calling it)

Is noie and speedy though.

ok so for those of you that noticed an odd boc template this afternoon, our current template was outdated so i ran an update on it which broke a few things of course. I have resolved these issues and set the default template back for the website.

Unfortunatly this also caused our logo location to change, I have temporarily edited an older copy of our logo and uploaded it again. Just be aware this is edited with paint and will be replaced this evening, at work I just dont have the editing resources that I do at home.

So for now the logo is back, however quickly edited. I also set the logo for the mobile site, there is nothing else I can edit there unfortunatley.

There you have it, enjoy.

I only see the BOC logo in BOC primary and not VB4 format... looks OK though... Will have to change the BOC default to new registers if it is stable...

And as far as mobile... I have not seen any issues as described and I have no access to the built in mobile to allow verbiage changes...

Looks great on my android phone and tablet. Seems to be fully mobile functional without any additional software or apps. Fast!

Thanks!

Lasts night's down time didn't hurt too bad. I can't use emoticons on the mobile site. : (

I can not view attachment pics in this forum.or the previo:us. I am on an Android. The attachment disapears when i touch it to move it over to view it.
Is there a way to fix that? I know im not the only one with this problem. It happens on my android pad also.

I'm not sure what is up with the mobile forum portion and if it is related to our BOC default template. If your guys on mobiles would try a different default template (select it at the bottom of the forum in the drop down menu... (Bottom left corner)... )

Let me know if that fixes the problems with photos and other mobile concerns...

I tried the mobile version, but it wastes too much screen real estate on the iPad.

See attached pic

Oh, can't attach a pic

On my Android tablet, I can double tap the screen and the text will fill the screen...very easy to read.

Any pointers?

Same on the iPad. For viewing and posting without pics it's faster in the mobile mode. But do we need the large BOC banner image in the mobile mode?

It does change how the frame is formated and not effecient use of space. Just a thought.
