Like most, I always browse the classified section looking for that exact part that is needed for my boat.
Since I recently purchased another boat, and trying to purchase some used items for it, I come across alot of classifieds that are no longer valid.
After contacting the member, they advise me that the part has been sold, or no longer available.
My question is: Is there any way to have these classifieds deleted? Either by the Original posting Member,
or by a date/time method?

If the item is already sold, then why is it still being advertised?
To me, it should just be deleted.

Thanks,

It can be deleted by those who posted. Otherwise I am not aware we actively delete those posts, sometimes they are trimmed up though.

. .. must admit, I didn't know we could delete (I don't have any to delete . . . yet) but I have updated my two just so that viewers will know the current status . . . . I still have one item that the initial buyer has not contacted me for some time . . . . wonder what the grace period should be . . .

We can delete as well as the OP. I suppose we should go through and delete all the posts that are of a certain age. I'll ask in our Admin section for input then will delete the old stuff. Probably put a sticky on what we expect of posters and their items for sale or trade. That may help...

Start by editing, then look for the delete selection.
