I tried to give someone a positive rep for a helpful post in one of my threads. I saw that he posted today and had the same rep power as before. How does the whole thing work anyway?
I clicked on the star looking icon and followed the prompts...

In nearly 1000 posts my rep power has never changed. Even though there has been some that have given me positive vibes.

I do believe it takes multiple reps to raise your super powers by one bar.

Otherwise, some here would ahve hundreds of bars.

Nope still not enough positive mojo to change the screen rep power. It moved my mini power from 96 to 97.

Ryan had outlined how it worked in an earlier thread, but I can't find it now.

I dont think you have enough rep power yourself to be handing out any. I seem to remember that you need a personal power of 10 before you can hand out the goodies.

Very dumb. For those interested, go search the club forum page. There are a few threads and lots of bickering from when this whole rep power thing started a few months ago.

Thanks, but seriously - I dont give a hoot about rep power - or rating threads for that matter. I do wish that TapaTalk would work though. :)

I don't understand the Rep power thing either? I know people who have been here since the old site and have helped out many a person but don't have the rep power of someone who has been a member for just over a couple of years. I don't think it's advice or the assistance you give I think its how well people can gossip?? Just my observation and I too do not care about rep power one bit!

I'm on another VB board with rep point dots. (I have 6 out of 11!), when you give rep points it says "Remember, they are just dots"

It's good on that forum, you can tell the new bozos with red dots. So you can choose to reply to their comments in a different way (Pnotes with helpful advice rather than public smacking)

This board is different, people that know the answers post, those that don't stand on the side. And some forums are free for alls, so you pays your quarter and you takes your chance. (ie Dockwalk  )

Hey, don't joke... I almost purchased a sea-ray couple weeks ago :-) but, no slip to put it in.
