OK, the title says "280 series", the nameplate says "275" which I guess would be "270 series". Am I wrong?
Then the part number pic could settle this... but darn, it's blurry! Looks like "2826131" is that what it is?
Funny, I just took a pic of my VP270 drive's part number tonight, trying to track down the right zincs for it.

We need Rick in here. It looks like a mishmash of parts. 275 wwould be a 270 series with a V8 gearset. But it would have a U shaped exhaust outlet like a 270, and this one has a 280 style lower.

Additionally, the nameplate was 1986 only. If it came off a 1985 it would have the old blue and silver badge on it.

Finally: There was no 1985 Bayliner Admiralty. So that further muddies the water.

That is a 280 lower unit. The transmission is hard to tell. My guess 280 also. Need better clearer pics of the transmission. I would think what is going on here is this.
That is a 280 outdrive and at some point the cover got lost and was replaced with a cover from a 275
