My wife Vicki and I had a wonderful weekend in the South Sound 2 weeks ago. The weather was finally up into the 70's. A very welcome change from the snow as of late and we were very surprised to find that we were all alone for the whole weekend. We also took along our kayaks for the first time. Cutts Island is one of our favorites. There happened to be a Daffodil Boats Afloat Parade for our enjoyment on our trip home. Please enjoy our pics as this is my first posting as a new member...

We South Sounders don't tell anyone about our little piece of swamp. That's why you were all alone for the weekend. People in the know don't venture this far south. It rains a lot down here under perpetually dark and cloudy skys. The locals all wear bib overalls and act like those guys in the movie Deliverance. When it's quiet, the sound really carries across the water.
If you listen real close..

pigs are squealing in the distance....

BTW. -Welcome aboard.:D

That's why I've always known Cutt's as Deadman's Island :arr
