Never been in the English Channel but I always heard it was very rough water? Looks nice and calm. Cool pic!

Not every day is as calm as this, but when it's here we enjoy.Just off the coast from here is the Goodwin sands, has taken so many ships over hundreds of years.France is 21 miles from this point.Have a good summer...

I agree that is a great photo. Something worth putting in a frame for the home.

Is that you on the boat or family? Also cannot make out the name of you boat....not that the person blocking it is any wear on the eyes. ;)

I was in the water taking the photos, that is my youngest son, daughter in law, and my wife. The boats name is "SARASOTA", named after the place we love to visit, to rent a boat, fish, swim and enjoy life with so many friendly Americans.Spent the whole of Sept there last year awesome..........

I wondered if it was ever calm in that water. every time I've been there was on the sea-link and the water was not friendly. looks like you had very nice weather.
cheers,
pat
