So I had the opportunity to travel to Biloxi, MS for a few weeks. I decided to bring the boat, it has been a great decision so far, I had a great first cruise. This weekend I plan to head up river for some fishing, hopefully more pictures will show up here next week :)This is the marina I use

I pointed him here and we may hear from him before too long. We are hoping to get together in the next few days so I can share my experience.

Great pics Jason, but I think you need another flag...:kidding I always fly 2 or 3 myself. That looks like a good boating area, how's Keesler?

Keesler is what it is, everything is what you make of it though. This is a fantastic place to boat, and having what essentially amounts to a "free" membership to a private marina that is rarely used is very nice. The fact that I saw another trailerable boat at the boat launch was a freak occurance.

Enjoy your time there, I have fond memories. (What was her name again?) Which TX base are you assigned?

I'm at Lackland in San Antonio for now. I'm got about 14 years in, once my minimum commitment is finished at Lackland I'll have just about 17 years in. I'm not sure if there will be another assignment or not, so many things change all the time in the military. TX may be it for me.

BTW rained out today :( I was trying to get some dusk fishing in and it was a no-go. Guess I'll do laundry and get ready to try again tomorrow.

If you don't do the full 20, you will regret that decision for the rest of your natural born life... just sayin...

I'm definitely in it for the long haul, I had meant that with less than 48 months to give the military, I may not meet the retention requirements to be moved again and will stay in TX for the additional 3 years.

Do your 20 and a few months....Then find a good job, so you do not have to touch much of your retirement, bank the rest, when you turn my age REAL retirement is a possibility. BTW Thank You for your service from a retired USAF Msgt, 20 years 3months and 29 days!
BTW...MacDill AFB has a nice Marina and Campground....for active duty and us retired OLD GEEZER'S!

Thanks, and very cool. I have never been to Macdill. I have been to several FL bases, stationed at Hurburt Field from 2000-2004, TDY to Tyndall and Eglin in the past.

Dave, there are times when you US guys confuse me. I believe that comment to be an absolute pommy one. Pommy being our term for English or the Brits. In an hour or so we are going to give them a hiding at footy. I know I have confused a mate, Jeffw, with some of my aussie vernacular, but that one I will stand up as being a pommy one.

Please educate me if I am wrong ... :)

Cheers

Come about 100 miles east to Pensacola NAS. Two good marinas and this...
