Hello

Weather hasn't been so good this summer, but luckily it was quite ok when we made our trip in july.

Started from our summer cottage located in Ristiina wednesday morning 23 of july, crew: me, my wife Katri, son Teemu 5 and daughter Sonja 2, sister in law Salla her son Juho 5 and her boyfrien Ari. This big crew doesn't sleep in this small boat so they got tent with them...

Next morning we made a quick visit to Sulkava village as the ladies wanted to go Marimekko (clothing)factory outlet, I'm not sure if that was a good idea. After that we made some lunch in Linnavuori (castle mountain)

VERY nice pics - great water, villages and locks. I am sure that the kids enjoed themselves - glad the boat ran great for ya...ont he bright side, you should be getting better milage with the diesel over the gas (petrol) engine...

Keep it up - love the sunset and castle pics...

Very nice, great pictures and story. I am glad you had a good time and the country looks beautiful.

I noticed your son is named Teemu.. I am from Southern California and am a Anahiem Ducks fan. I live very close to Anahiem AKA Disneyland and my favorite player is Teemu Selänne... Are you guys fans?

Hi FishingFool
I'm not a huge icehockey fan, but it's so popular here that you can't really avoid to hear hockey news. And of course Selänne and other finnish NHL players are well known in here, so whatever they do, it's always on the newspaper. Let's see if Selänne will still continue playing.
I'm more interested about motor sports like F1, F1 boats, WRC, MotoGP etc.

I moved these pics also from panoramio to photobucket. I don't know how long ago panoramio denied direct linking to pics, but now everyone should be able to see them.

Looks like a wonderful trip for your family.
I do have one question. Where did you get that folding bow ladder?

It came with the boat, but it's made in USA. I don't remember manufacturers name , but I can try to remember to check it when I'll go to boat (it may take couple of months)

Edit:

Just did little googling and these looks the same (almost bottom of page) http://boards.trailerboats.com/cgi-bin/trailerboats/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=003743

So it may be "Wesbar Stowaway ladder"
