This past Saturday, I took 5 of my old college friends out to celebrate the approaching demise of one's single life. We left Mystic at 1430, and 30 minutes later arrived at Abbotts Lobster in the Rough in Noank (if you've never been, it is worth the tripfrom ANYWHERE. Fortunately, it only takes me a half hour :) )

Abbotts is also worth the wait, as we waited over an hour for our food. But that was because we ordered 5lb lobsters. The guys had no trouble passing the time though:

My folks live in East Marion and have available slips in front of their place, so we had free destination. The seas were a bit rough, about 3 - 5 feet, but the crew managed to keep their lobster down. We even successfully recovered a hat that blew over the side. After getting through Plum Gut, it was smooth motoring all the way to East Marion:

We had a great night of cigars, steaks, good tunes, bocce, and more beer.On the trip home, the Sound was flat, so we made better time (about 18 knots at 3300 rpm). We even took time to look for sharks:

All in all, a fine time was had by all.

man...last bach party I went too was when I was in the AF...we drug this poor guy from bar to bar in San Francisco...then at about 3 am...figured it would be hilarious to stick this guy on an airplane to LA..we conned a flight attendant to help him off and someone would pick him up when they got there....
next afternoon we're standing at the chapel in Class A's waiting for this guy with our heads pounding from all the drinking...... when he calls the chapel screaming he didn't know where he was and only had 5 bucks in his pockets....oh man.........we had to postpone his wedding by a few hrs while the new inlaws charged a ticket from LA to SFO..then go get him.....back then PSA flew that route every hr it seemed like....he was up and on his feet in front of the priest at the base chapel by 5pm that evening...
I don't think the bride was happy at all!!..later the FIA said that was pretty funny stunt to do to him...to bad he found his way back!!.,..hahaha...:D

The term stripper is politically incorrect. Has been for some time. I have adopted my own term - Urban Folk Dancers ;)

I believe that at the local "gentleman's clubs" they are called "entertainers."
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Ahh, yes. The entertainment... We are all a bit older now than we were when we started the bachelor party thing. My buddies did ask me if I installed an "urban dancer" pole on the boat before they came up for the cruise, but I ran out of time.

As far as nudity goes, at one point, I saw a naked USMC Major as he changed to go swimming. He tends to be a bit casual about where he disrobes.

BTW, seapuppy, I'm glad you weren't in my bridal party. My father in law, who is a former marine and recently retired detective, would have found it amusing, but my mother in law would have shot me with his gun.
