Last weekend we cruised up to Deep Bay with a buddy of mine and his girlfriend. The weather wasn't supposed to be great, but the weathermen have been way off on every prediction this year, so we rolled the dice.

Rained on us all Saturday night and an hour on Sunday - other than that beautiful weather and scenery. Deep Bay is at the north end of Sparrow Lake, and is small sheltered bay that doesn't look big enough for one boat. Once you are in, however, it opens up nicely.

Smart Ass,

Actually, it is a Carver 35 Motoryacht - only 3 feet biger. We had to tie up that much further ahead, as his deck railing has an opening mid-ship, where ours is at the back. It makes for "intoxicated boarding" that much safer.

Pick,

Stright up through the channel - as you start to head back into the Trent River system again at the top of Sparrow, you will see an opening on the west side - it is charted.

Nope - every Avanti that I have seen has the same arch. I think even when you drop down to the 2950 you still get the arch.
