We spent the past week in Tennessee at Cherokee Lake. It's our second year here. We rent a gorgeous log home lake front with a dock and even a private ramp, 1200$ for a seven day week! The water level was up this year. Water was smooth most of the week, made for great wakeboarding!! Here are a few PIcs of the week.

Took the kids to the Smokies Game. The house and lake are only an hour or so drive time from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sievervile, I love minor league ball.

If I win the lottery I'll live here!!! It's about 400 mile one way to tow the boat with a 2 and 4 year old (actually they were good, didn't even have to spike their drinks). 75 Is rough tow as well as 25 E from Corbin Kentucky. We had a blast though. To me that setting of a huge lake nestled in the mountains is my eden. That's also the way to own a boat, walk 15 feet out your back door, untie it from the dock and go.
Us guys were good to the wives, we good three meals a day for them for under 300$ for 8 adults and three kids. not counting beer!. The area around the lake has produce stand with the best tomatoes I' ever had, very quaint and relaxing!

You have it right. To walk down to the dock and go is fantastic wish I could have that all the time too. Sounds like you had a great time. A couple more weeks for me and I will be in nice place in northern MI.:) Yeah, If I can just get those matching lottery numbers also. Great Pics.

Sounds like a nice weekend. East TN is awesome for boating. BTW, are you willing to share the location? I'm thinking about renting a cabin on one of the "upper" lakes.

That's because the Springboks beat the Aussies in the Tri-Nations rugby game on the weekend. It's called "Hell Freezing over" :D

Neil, this one was probably lost on our US friends. As you know, this week end is the big one, if I remember correctly, the final of the tri-nations, as well as the B Cup, and it is in my home town. Room on th eboat if any omne is interested. Opps, I have forgotten, is SA invloved?
cheers

Of course South Africans are involved. The ushers at the stadium, the people selling the tickets, the NZ team Physiotherapist. They're just not on the field where it counts! With any luck, we may field a winning team in 2009. It just won't be in Rugby.
I may even get up early tomorrow morning to watch.
Good luck against the Kiwi's
