Drop me a line when you have details on dates and times and we'll see what we can arrange. My boat wil be docked at Oromocto at that time, perhaps we can meet there.

Cheers,

JB

Sounds great, not sure where I am staying yet, but will be in and out of Oromocto for some training. Always cool to meet like minded peeps!

what kind of skeg damage would you have to have before you would damage something else in the drive such as gears, seals or bolts? and what would you be looking for to see if there was additional damage beside the skeg? is this type of damage from dragging the skeg up the ramp going to damage the drive? thanks

Paint it over and move on. We dont really learn until we made a mistake.

Same thing happened to me on my first summer. The sound of concrete-on-metal is terrible.

On the other hand, I never forgot to raise it ever again. For my boat, and for my friends' boats whenever I'm helping them.
