I just purchase a used 2455 and am looking to set up the galley in the most efficient way as there is very little storage space for pots and pans, supplies and so on. Does anyone have an tips on how to do this? Thanks for the help. Gary

I just have a few that I keep on board. Mostly pots and pans that will fit inside each other and I store those under the v-berth.

Few things we did. Turned coat closet into locker by adding shelving. The glasses store on top, booze in middle and plates at bottom. Hung between kitchen and back bedroom a 3 tier hanging basket to store fruits and other food items that would roll around otherwise. Bottom of 3 baskets holds non food items. Food goes on one side of v birth seating. Added basket to inside door and the one cabinet in kitchen for silverware. Added a toaster oven on top of the coat closet and stapped it into place. We hung on wall between kitchen and rear sleeping area multi canvas pocket unit normally used for tools to catch pens and other loose items including can opener and wine opener.
Funny part is we bought a teak plate and cup rack to fit on wall but it was to large for any wall but bathroom by removing mirror above sink. It became a great place to put tooth brushes, two rolls tp on what was made for paper towel, first aid kit in plate area and hair brushes and other small items in other places on rack.

I had a 2455 before the current boat. We did five day ocean trips on it, so we really had to maximize space. As above, we turned the hanging closet into shelving. I never wore that blue blazer and captain's hat anyway! Then I built some storage spaces to put around the V-berth, where we stored towels, booze, and misc stuff. See photos below.

After one bad weather trip, I realized the cabinets need locks (again, see photos). I bought child safety straps from Ikea, they worked great.

A ditch bag went on the front of the bulkhead that is the forward head wall. TV was hung on a wall mount right next to it.

We got an extended swim platform, so a big cube cooler could live on there. Really helps with space.

Spices were hung on RV spice bottle holders stuck to the doors of the galley cabinets.

Hey SwampNut, pls tell me more about your captains seat modification. Did it swivel around? And slide forward and aft? Parts list? More picks? Thanks

Ditto for us when we owned our 2355. A couple of shelves will dramatically add storage space in here.
