38 gallon USCG approved aux tank located in the large square compartment in the v-berth. Adding 38 gallons of fuel not only dramaticially increased the range, it also put weight forward, where it is needed on the 2859. This resulted in using less trim tab and greater overall efficiency. I moved the mercruiser fuel filter to the starboard stringer. Since it has two inlets we installed separate valves for the main and aux tank. This also made installation of the standard horizon fuel computer easy. There is a toggle switch on the dash to choose which tank is being read by the fuel gauge. The black tank is a 11 gallon diesel tank for the espar heater. Viewed: 1445 times.
