Default Laying out my new Greenwater Exhaust System

Meet Dave Dooling, here doing the prep layout for my new exhaust system. He is marking the position of all the components, and will then remove the entire existing system and take it to his shop to be used as a fabrication templete.

Since my turbos are well above the water line, he has decided to replace the can type risers you see here with down angle 5" wet exhausts off each turbo. He will then convert to 6" through a "Y" collector. The lift mufflers provide excellent surge protection to make this design feasible, and the system will have far less exhaust restriction by not using 180 degree elbow risers. The down angle also insures seawater will never be able to back up into the turbos and ruin them (which is what started all this in the first place).

I will post installation pics of the new system in approximately 3 weeks so you can see Dave's work for yourself.

Stuart
